Hubertuslay
Minerality! Spice! Power! Melting texture! These are the typical characteristics of our Hubertuslay Rieslings. The south-southwest-facing blue and gray slate slopes, combined with some fine soil, offer ideal conditions for delicate, juicy Riesling wines. The Rieslings are spicy and racy and need the necessary fine yeast storage before bottling to reveal all the facets of this vineyard. Our entire range of dry and off-dry Rieslings is grown here on a total of six parcels. From dry estate wines to our “Großen Gewächs” (Grand Cru), the “Bergspitze” Spätlese dry.
Rosenberg
Fruit! Elegance! Longevity! A previously unknown and perhaps underrated top vineyard. A south-facing slope with very loose and partly rocky blue slate. The “Eulenlay” is one of the prime areas of this vineyard, formerly a single vineyard, which produces extremely small, aromatic grapes due to the vines, some of which are over 30 years old. The Rieslings from the Rosenberg are delicate, juicy and, as the name suggests, have very floral fruit notes, which are very well balanced by a smoky minerality due to the high slate content.
